Put in a claim to paypal explaining everything on here etc just incase, but if it comes then happy days!
Hopefully it does come and he doesn't reply to paypal like he's been ignoring everyone else = money back and free pillar pod :haha:
Yeah paypal will give you your money back whether he has the funds or not, he will just go into overdraft then they will hound him for the money.

people who paid via paypal should qualify for the Paypal buyer protection scheme upto a certain amount i think.
Get a letter in, the letter saying he has no assets could be a diversionary tactic. If the bank were stepping in there would be a liquidator apointed... half that letter is bullshit, a business we work with had to go into this the other week and it was a whole lot different to that crap toby is talking.

I was so tempted by one of them pillar pods as well because they were shockingly cheap, glad I didn't now, bought one in a for sale thread here.
He must have a degree in being a con artist due to the fact that he has taken people's money for such a long time without ever having any intention to supply parts, refunds or any type of customer service whatsoever, and then have the downright cheek to send such a letter/e-mail to people who have given them their hard-earned money!

I would put nothing past him.
Everyone on that list should seek legal assistance immediately. Get your foot in the door before he gets away with it.

Turns out that its the pillar pod I ordered over two weeks ago so I'm well chuffed as it really wasn't expected after reading all this on here.

Really supprised to hear this about Toby to be fair as I have always ordered from him and always got my parts.
I guess business wasn't so good.
It seems like the thing to do if your business is going under is you get as much money as you can before sh*t hits the fan and then you make a run for it!
This was the same case with the evo tuners RC Developments!!!

with evo developments though, it was one of the directors that was a silent partner or something that took all the cash and done a runner, and the staff and other directors knew nothing until it was to late, was a sorry state of affairs

sorry to hear such news, as i ever got anything i've ordered from Toby and the service was very satisfying too i must say! To be fair his prices was a bit too high compared to other traders from UK and especially to tarders from Japan they were mega high!

try your bank, i ordered a new clutch kit bt it didnt turn up. i went to my bank and luckily halifax did manage to contact martina at toytuning and supprisingly after the bank had i got incontact with them i got an email from martina @ TT saying they should have had it instock within the next day, but i told them i just wanted the refund and from then i had prety good communication with them as she kept checking to see if i had been refunded yet and eventually i got it refunded.. so even if you didnt pay by cc you can try your bank as hopefully they may be able to sort something out for you altho it did take a while for the funds to re-appear into my account and they couldnt promise that they can definatly claim it back but when its £300+ anything is worth a shot.
