As with all suggestions we get from members we reviewed this application which CMR kindly suggested. Having investigated the impact on site resources we decided to give it a try and installed it a couple of days ago, unfortunately we encountered some issues with the installation but these have now been resolved and we are glad to say that TapaTalk is now up and running
It is important to mention that this solution works with the basic forum and may not work with all forum add-ons which we have implemented. Please do not request that we try to develop this solution to use add-ons such as TGTT Chat as we will not be carrying out any development work on this.
I have just purchased the APP for my iPhone and it gives a very nice browsing experience indeed. Please see below for more info:
Tapatalk is a mobile forum app for iPhone / Android and soon to be on Blackberry and Nokia. Tapatalk supports vBulletin (3.x and 4.x) and phpBB forums and forum owner can activate this service for free. Tapatalk supports all the usual forum functions plus full screen image viewing, image upload, caching (less reload), private messaging, all these features are accessible in just a few simple taps.
